It’s difficult to imagine an earthquake large enough to cause the city of Los Angeles to crumble into ruins after only a few minutes of shaking. One that would toss the letters of the Hollywood sign off the hill-side, split the ground in two, and cause steel and concrete skyscrapers to tumble to the ground.
